Challenges got a complete makeover. The whole flow — from browsing to completing tasks — has been rebuilt to be clearer, more fun, and easier to follow.
Improved
- Challenge detail screen with banner image, organization logo, participant count, and clear status indicators so you always know where things stand
- Challenge headers now feature the same topo line background treatment as the iOS app
- Task cards that show distance, location, and badges for every challenge state: open, upcoming, expired, and completed
- Filterable task list lets you switch between All, Completed, and To-Do views
- Full leaderboard with your current position highlighted
- Organizations can now turn social features on or off for their challenges
- The About section adapts based on whether you've joined a challenge — it shows as a popup before joining and as a tab after
- The bottom action button updates automatically based on challenge state, so the next step is always obvious
- Posting, leaderboards, and social features now work consistently across all task types: Check-In, QR Code, and Survey
- Enrolled users can now see when they started participating in a challenge, with polished card layout and background styling that matches iOS
- Challenge badges use the same opacity treatment as iOS for locked and unearned states
- Challenge dates and times are now formatted consistently with iOS across all screens, including challenge cards
- Cleaner challenge header — the "About the Challenge" section has moved out of the header to match the iOS layout
- Organization logos now use the same unrounded circle style as iOS throughout the app, including location detail screens
- Quick filter labels on the Home screen now wrap cleanly instead of getting cut off
- The Explore map auto-zooms to your current location when you first open it after loading or switching to a community — falls back to community bounds if you're outside the area or location access is off
- Consistent spacing on the Home and Organizations screens so cards, badges, and sections line up nicely
Fixed
- Resolved a stability issue in the background analytics layer that could cause the app to close unexpectedly
- Improved app responsiveness by removing a bottleneck that could cause the interface to freeze during background data updates
- The "Open & Upcoming Challenges" carousel on the Home screen now shows up reliably when the app first loads
- Swiping down on the leaderboard bottom sheet now dismisses it as expected
- Removed empty space at the bottom of the Me > Challenges tab
- Removed extra white space below the community Home header
- Organization logos layered over profile photos no longer show a transparent background
- The challenge header no longer takes up the full screen, so tabs and content below it are always visible
- Badge share images now capture the actual badge instead of occasionally showing a placeholder overlay
