Challenges have been redesigned from top to bottom — browsing, joining, tracking progress, and earning badges all feel faster and more intuitive. You'll also find a smoother sign-in experience, more reliable offline maps, and performance improvements that make screens load faster with fewer freezes.

The entire Challenges experience has a new layout, updated navigation, and streamlined flows for joining, completing, and sharing challenges.
Task cards now show distance, location, and badge info across all states — open, upcoming, expired, and completed — with a new modal for viewing task details.
Leaderboards and Badges each have their own dedicated screens with updated designs.
Social is now available for all challenge task types, with new Create a Post and Share flows and a refreshed Social detail screen.
QR check-in, success screens, and the complete challenge screen all got a visual refresh.
The sign-in and verification code screens have been rebuilt for a cleaner, more reliable login experience.
Offline map downloads now show accurate availability status before you start, and you can cancel a download mid-progress.
Profile icons now show a verified badge and organization logo overlay where applicable.

Fixed

Organization logos on profile photos now display as clean squares instead of being rounded into circles.
The "Member since" date on the Profile tab now shows the correct date.
The swipe-back gesture works again on Organizations and other screens where the back button was hidden.
Search bar now auto-focuses when you tap the search shortcut on the Home screen.
Downloaded offline maps no longer flash a "Loading..." state — cached data shows right away.
Fixed the stop card being too large and animating in incorrectly.
The "Member Since" date now shows up on the Me screen again.
Fixed an issue that could cause failures on launch related to distance caching.
Joining a challenge is now more reliable — duplicate enrollments can no longer happen.
Fixed occasional UI freezes caused by background file operations.
Fixed a white gap at the bottom of the Social tab on location detail screens when scrolled all the way down.
Photos throughout the app no longer stay blurred or revert to low-quality placeholders — they now load at full resolution.
The app now handles server timeout errors more gracefully instead of failing silently.
The top of location screens no longer has a mismatched background color or content peeking behind the status bar.
Navigation bars on iOS 26 no longer turn transparent as you move between screens — they stay solid and readable throughout the app.
