Hierarchy adjustment for nearby locations
R
Rebecca Swift
The current display of nearby locations shows all asset types by distance, which can be frustrating as non-exciting points like trash receptacles appear before key venues. It would be helpful to adjust the hierarchy to emphasize parks and trails over minor amenities.

Hiya Rebecca Swift, thanks for sharing with us! Following up on this:
- What specific types of locations or amenities do you consider as 'key venues' that should be prioritized?
- Are there any specific criteria or attributes that should be used to determine the importance of a location?
- How do you currently use the nearby locations feature, and what improvements would make it more useful for you?

Areas (Parks & Facilities) and Trails, bascially leaving off POIs
Are there any specific criteria or attributes that should be used to determine the importance of a location?
We want users to be able to see all these POIs when they are exploring our parks but we don't want those to be the things highlighted under 'Nearby Locations'
How do you currently use the nearby locations feature, and what improvements would make it more useful for you?
We have some very long MUTs that are lined with trash cans, benches, picnis tables etc. So instead of some walking on that trail seeing that there is also a nearby Park or connector trail nearby, all they see when scrolling is an endless list of all the POIs along the trail they are currently on.

Thanks for the feedback, Rebecca Swift! Currently, the primary goal of Nearby Locations is to support visitors who are using the app while in a park. But we do have plans to revamp/redesign the functionality, and we'll take your feedback into account when we do so.
