Feature Requests

We need filters on the Organization screen to help users locate nearby sites of interest, such as bathrooms, dog parks, and children's parks, without having to return to a map page of California. This would enhance user experience by allowing them to find specific amenities directly from the SF RecPark page, rather than navigating through a broader map. We had previously discussed this feature, and I would like to restart the conversation to explore possible solutions.

It would be beneficial to have a feature that allows duplicating an existing outing. This would enable me to modify an existing outing and then change things to create a new outing while keeping both versions. This would streamline the process of setting up new challenges using past routes.

As a Conservation and Resources Enforcement Officer, I need real-time access to see who is checked in to hunting areas using the app. This would greatly enhance our ability to perform enforcement duties effectively. Having this feature would streamline our operations and ensure we can respond promptly to any issues that arise in the field.

Our team is trying to use the Organization Only option to track hazards and assign clean-up tasks. However, we are not receiving email or push notifications for these organization-only posts, even when logged into the app with the same email as the manager. It would be beneficial to have notifications for organization-only reports to ensure timely updates and efficient task management.

I was testing adding a photo to a check-in earlier today, but when I went to edit the post to delete the photo, I didn't have that option and had to delete the entire check-in. It would be frustrating for someone to accidentally upload the wrong photo and not be able to delete it without deleting the whole post/check-in. It would be helpful to have the ability to delete a photo from a check-in without deleting the entire post.

I am interested in exploring hiking trails but face challenges due to visual impairment. It would be beneficial to have audio functionality for outing stops and trail descriptions, similar to the audio wayfinding system at Natural Bridge State Park. This feature would greatly enhance accessibility for visually impaired visitors, allowing them to enjoy guided tours with spoken descriptions of trail markers and points of interest.

In the new reporting tool for trail conditions, I noticed that the iPhone version allows users to select 'Other' when reporting a hazard, but the Android version does not offer this option. It would be beneficial for our users to have a consistent experience across platforms by adding the 'Other' option to the Android version as well.

I would like to have the ability to set an end date/time for closures or alerts within the application. This feature would help in managing the reopening of trails or areas automatically without manual intervention, ensuring a smoother operation and better user experience.

Our organization would benefit from the ability to have nested hierarchies for asset ownership within Outerspatial. Currently, Outerspatial only supports a single ownership organization for location assets, which limits our ability to accurately represent our organizational structure. Implementing nested hierarchies would allow us to display all division assets under the department profile without duplicating assets across organization accounts.

Currently, the system does not support partial trail closures, which is a limitation for managing trail access effectively. It would be beneficial to have the ability to close only specific sections of a trail, rather than the entire trail, to better manage access and ensure safety during maintenance or other activities.
